The Optical Performance on Tamron 18-270 PZD Lens

2012
02.22

Jim.Robinson.Photography ยป Assignment 1: Deep Depth ...The optical performance of this Tamron 18-270 PZD lens is simply average. If you compare this lens with any standard zoom lens, it is average. If you compare it with any prime lenses though, this lens will be left behind by a large margin. When this lens is used with any DSLR camera, it can perform as long as the user is not picky about image quality. When you shoot just for fun and not professionally, you will not be affected by the image quality that this lens will produce whatsoever. However, if you are shooting for serious purpose, then the image quality might let you down a bit. I found myself using this lens more and more often though for my family shots. However, when I am on a photography assignment, I found myself using this lens less and less. All in all, if you have the money to spare, get this lens.

Professional Photography Tips Can Be Found for Free

2012
01.26

A lot of young photographers think that there is no free source for the professional photography tips. They think that the only way to learn these tips is to join and complete the courses offered by the professional photographers. It is true that these courses are really helpful for photographers of all ages. There are some things that can only be learnt from these professionals. However, there are a few websites that have some really useful tips. These sites are quite new compared to most of the other photography related sites and online magazines. They are operated and owned by some junior photographers. These people decided to make the tips freely available to those who can not pay for the courses or are living abroad. They are doing this to help these aspiring young photographers. In a lot of cases, those who share the tips fro free are very successful but they also came from places where it was hard to learn photography.

Distortion Control on the Olympus 12-60mm

2012
01.14

If you are looking for a professional lens that can best work with the regular Four Thirds cameras or the Micro Four Thirds camera, then the Olympus 12-60mm is the excellent lens. However, this lens is highly priced because of its great optical quality. The sharpness on this lens is superb at any aperture on the centre and on the border too. You will love this lens for its distortion control because it reduces this optical defect to its lowest degree at any focal length and aperture except at the first focal length where it is slightly visible. Vignetting is perfectly controlled at the second, fourth and sixth focal length (18mm, 35mm and 60mm). Among all optical defects on this lens, chromatic aberration is the perfectly controlled. This is amazing because it has outperformed many other professional lenses in its league.

The Olympus 12-60mm is great in terms of zooming and focusing because both the zoom ring and the focus ring on this lens are responsive. I also admire the compactness characteristic on this Olympus lens.

The Photos Actually Originated in a Photography Course in Nottingham

2011
11.02

I went to one of the best art galleries I had ever visited yesterday. The photographs were excellent and eye catching. I was amazed that the photos actually originated in a photography course in Nottingham. The photos were taken by students. Not professors, but students rather. This really made it even more interesting because they seem as though they are taken by professinals.

I ended up buying one medium sized photo of a wooden bowl that made of woven sticks and it was holding balls that were also woven sticks. It was set upon a glass topped coffee table and just seriously gorgeous. I got it at a great price and gave the photographer a little extra because I know how hard it is to be a struggling art student. I am sure they appreciated it and ate very well tonight on their extra commission that I paid them for my purchase.

It helps in keeping the wedding day memory fresh in your mind and in reliving those magical moments all over again. At that time, you cannot help but feel happy about deciding to hire a videographer.

Thus, if a member in your family or a close friend of yours is planning to marry soon, do not forget to give them an important word of advice about booking a Bay Area wedding videographer to capture their wedding. Mom Wants Prints!

2011
06.04

I guess my mom is really into canvas prints nowadays, and she really wants some of the pictures I took of nature, which is fine by me! She said she’s going to hang them at her work. I think any exposure is good exposure. Maybe the ladies at her work will be interested in buying some of my prints too, and I certainly can use the money. I guess being a photographer worked out for me after all. Mom always complained about how I wouldn’t be able to make money by just taking pictures of people and places. I sure showed her! I’m making a lot of money now than ever, and I knew I had it in me. I just wish she believed me in the beginning. She was very discouraging at first, and I did not appreciate it at all. Sometimes I just wish she would have left me alone so that I could pursue my goals without the constant nagging.

Metallic Name Tags

2011
05.24

I found some new name badges that I want to order for the staff. They look really nice and they are not the traditional plastic name tags. These name badges are made of the metallic brushed aluminum name badge material. I ordered the ones that are the silver brushed aluminum, but the name badges are also available in the gold material. The name badges are made of a thick plastic material with a thin layer of a brushed aluminum over it. The company that I am ordering these name badges from are available in full color, or all black print. I am going to order the name badges in full color with our company logo on it and the two or three lines of text. I am really excited about these metallic name tags because they just look so much more professional than the name badges that I have already right now.

Modern Art Prints: Impressionism

2011
03.27

Monnet, Pissarro and Renoir initiated the movement of Impressionism. This era in art history is characterized by transition in visual impressions. Their paintings are directly drawn from nature and their colors are blended well to achieve brilliance. The painters in this movement rejected the idea of using scholarly and romantic ideas when painting. They didn’t want to stick with imagination and literary subjects. Their themes were mostly focused on nature and everyday subjects and they refuse to include any vulgar and obscene ideas in their pieces. Modern Art Prints come to us from this movement. Most people realized that they have the freedom to express themselves in whatever way they can. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is a known French painter and lithographer, who pushed artists to go into modern art. He created striking posters with the use of artificial colors. Most of his creations were graphic in nature and his strokes were very detailed. It was too bad that he became famous after he died. At present, he is considered as one of the world’s most popular artist.

The Best Present I Have Ever Received

2011
02.17

My twin sister and I celebrated a landmark birthday a couple of years ago and we went away for the weekend to celebrate. We had loads of photographs taken and without knowing it – our other sister took the photographs and had them reproduced for us on print on canvas as a special gift. We received three really cute pictures as a set which we’ve hung in our respective homes. It got me thinking that I could go through all the photographs I’ve ever taken using a digital camera and find the really good ones and then start giving these away as gifts. I can’t hang any more at home because I’ve literally run out of space – but that hasn’t stopped me getting very creative what I have in my library to turn into incredible wall art to give away to my friends and family. Giving away photographs in a frame used to be a bit hit and miss, but with print on canvas it’s actually a lot more fun.
