I just have had a very interesting day today. What more could be interesting than learning to play the guitar! I had some friends come over and I was really quite envious with them because I was the only one in our circle of friends who doesn’t know how to play the instrument! Imagine how that makes me feel! So I begged my friend to teach me, and luckily she agreed. So here I am, studying and practicing these guitar chords for beginners.

I know that it is not easy, because even as early as now, I am already facing challenges in playing the guitar. Even in the early stages of learning the guitar, I’m already finding it difficult with these chords, even if they are considered “for beginners”. But, I’ve got no other choice. There are no shortcuts to this and I know I have to experience this first hand.

Another reason why a tape recorder was popular is because its tape can be used on every radio or equipment that can play a cassette tape. It was the iPhone of the nineties where people can listen to music as well as record them inside a tape.

Going about life working every day and doing a lot of things which feel like chores can make you feel out of touch with what is important in life and who you are. You can forget about what is important to you as you get soaked up in the minutiae of life and the day to day grind.

It is nice to get in touch with who you are once more and forget about all your worries. Sometimes this may mean just remembering what you enjoyed doing before you had all the responsibilities you currently have. At other times something will help you along the way.

In Aretha Franklin’s hit song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” she sings about how this happened to her. In this classic slow jam music from the 60s she describes how she “used to feel uninspired”. When talking of her man she says “Before the day I met you life was so unkind”.

However she’s found that this man makes her “feel like a natural woman”. It appears that this man was what was missing in her life as she says about him “Now I’m no longer doubtful of what I’m living for”.
